You paid for the assessment. The fix is a separate job.
You are at the start of the findings path.
5 stops through the site, in order. Walk it with a guide, or see the whole route first.
Why the list is still sitting there
Three reasons, and every one of them is about how the work gets sold. This is a gap in the market, which is why it catches companies who did everything right.
The findings were the deliverable
And that is exactly what you bought
An assessment's job is to tell you what is true on the day it looked. A good one does that and then stops, because an assessor who also sells you the remediation has a reason to find more of it. That independence is the point of the exercise. It also means the fixing was always a separate job.
The work underneath it is a full-time function
And yours is already committed elsewhere
The reports we get handed usually carry fifteen or twenty findings, and they span several kinds of work: identity, device configuration, cloud guardrails, policy, evidence collection, and vendor review, each wanting a different specialist and all of them wanting somebody to own the order they happen in.
Arguing your side is an inside job
Which is the gap that actually hurts
A larger company has someone internal who reads the report, pushes back on the findings that do not apply at your size, ranks the ones that do, and then drives them to done. Without that person the list stays technically accurate and practically stuck, which is where most of them sit.
What we do with the list you already have
You are further along than you think. The expensive part, finding out what is wrong, is behind you.
Bring the report you already have
We start from the report you already paid for and work from its findings as they stand. If the report is thin in a place that matters, we say so and look at that one place.
We re-rank it against your real deadline
Findings tend to arrive ordered by control number. We reorder them by what actually blocks the deal, the renewal, or the audit in front of you, and we tell you plainly which ones apply to a company your size. That conversation is usually the first time anybody has argued your side of the report.
You get a finish date and a fixed price
One fixed price for the whole list. In writing, before you commit to anything, so the thing you are deciding on is a number and a date rather than an estimate.
We do the work
In your accounts rather than ours. An independent auditor checks it at the end, whether that is the firm you already used or one of ours. The day you leave, everything still works and you still hold every key.
If your findings are mostly Microsoft 365, the next step is one you can take on your own. The Hygiene Check inspects tenant configuration setting by setting for a fixed fee, you can start it today, and the findings land in your own workspace.
Your assessor did their job
Assessments do real work. We work alongside accredited audit firms and we bring an independent auditor into our own engagements on purpose, because a buyer trusts work that someone independent checked. An assessor who hands you findings and then steps back is behaving correctly. The ones worth a second look are the ones who assess you and then sell you the remediation for the problems they just found.
The gap is that the execution was always a separate purchase, and the offer to do it never reached you. That is the whole of it, and it is the part we do.
Reading this as the firm that wrote the report?
Handing a client the list and stepping back is what doing the assessment properly looks like. Assessment and certification stay with firms like yours, and we take referrals on written terms when the remediation needs an operator. Talk to us about referrals.
Where the list ends up
Every finding becomes a tracked item with an owner and a date.
Your list stops being a PDF and becomes work you can watch: each item in the register with somebody's name against it, the evidence filed as it lands, and the whole thing readable by you and by whoever audits it next.
Send us the list.
Fifteen minutes with the people who would do the work. Bring the report you were given and we will walk it with you, finding by finding.
Published structure, and assessment fees that credit forward in full if you carry on with us. Read the whole page before anyone calls you.
Bring the report. We will tell you which findings actually block you and which ones apply at your size.
